JIRANIA LAW COLLEGE (Erstehile The Government Degree College , Jirania) was established on 22nd October, 2021 as a joint venture of Government of Tripura and Anandanagar Welfare Society , Howrah, West Bengal. This college is affiliated to Tripura University (Central University) and Bar Council of India, New Delhi and it conducts 3 Years LLB course.

This college is governed by Mr. Bishnu Pada Das , Director , Anandanagar Welfare Society. Government of Tripura and Mr. Bishnu Pada Das , Director , Anandanagar Welfare Society have signed a MOU on dated 22nd October, 2021 vide Certificate No.: IN-TR/00257941954377 ; Ref. LOI No. F.2(365)DHE/UDCA/2019(L-II)/ dated 25.02.2021 and Award of Contract vide No.2(365)DHE/UDCA/2019(L-II)/789 dated 07.03.2021. The purpose of setting up this college in a joint venture with Anandnagar Welfare Society is to provide more opportunities for higher education to the children in the state of TRIPURA and thus improve the socio-economic system of this north eastern Indian state. It has plans to establish various skill development courses like Law education (L.L.B) , Teachers’ Training courses (D.El.Ed. ,B.Ed. & M.Ed.) , Paramedical courses etc. So that the students can be educated in general education as well as career oriented education.

Anandanagar Welfare Society , Howrah, WB was established in the year 2005, and very soon after starting its activities the society has established Surendralal Das Teachers’ Training College in the year 2005 . At present as per student strength Surendralal Das Teachers’ Training College is the Biggest Teachers’ Training College in the state of West Bengal . After that Kuntala Das College of Education , Jagadish Chandra Basu Sikshak Sikshan Mahavidyalaya, Darwin International School, Shree Ramkrishna Vivekananda Mission College of Juridical Studies (Law College) and Birendra Kumar Das Institute of Education (Pharmaceutical Science) were established one by one . The work of “The Bishnu” hospital and nursing college is under progress which will operate from the year 2023.

The establishment work of a nursing College at Dharmanagar and Teachers’ training college at Panisagar & Kakraban is on progress and we are planning to start the operation of these college in 2022.

With over 17 years of experience within the educational zone Anandanagar Welfare Society, Howrah,WB has now developed itself as means to establish a network of educational institution spreading across the nation. This constantly growing network of educational institutions includes a wide range of spectrum of teachers’ training institutions, law college , pharmacy college , nursing college and pre-primary to secondary school. Many students from our institution are employed in permanent jobs under central government and various state governments and also in abroad.

Anandanagar Welfare Society , Howrah ,WB aims to empower all of its learners by a education which will make them morally conscientious & upright , intellectually well informed, socially conscious, emotionally balanced, physically well developed and culturally accomplished global citizens.
